Why Kenny should be given the job

Sometimes in life you just know if something is right, and this time it’s not only me!

How do you know if someone is the right man for the job? In regards to both Gerard Houllier and Rafael Benitez the supporters didn’t seem to agree, even though the Spaniard had most of the supporters behind him.

With Kenny Dalglish it’s different. Everyone wants “King Kenny” as Liverpools next manager on a permanent deal – and here is why:

The best reason for giving the Dalglish the position he so much wants, is not his popularity, but his skills, experience, ideas and results as a manager. The fact that he already has the players, staff and support of the fans only makes things better.

One of the first things the King did as LFCs manager was to make a phone call to the former Chelsea coach Steve Clark- wanting him to join the team – Clark “just couldn’t say no” and the duo Dalglish & Clark is already proving to be a massive hit! The tactical display by Liverpool against rival Chelsea was a masterpiece, similar to Bentitez European triumphs. – The wingbacks stopping Bosingwa and Cole were exceptionally good. And remember Johnsons defending was shaky – until Dalglish came!

The way Raul Meireles has blossomed under the new boss is unbelievable. The Portuguese international is playing the football of his life.

The former Blackburn player and Norwegian international Henning Berg played under Dalglish, in the amazing season of 1994-95 had some interesting comments about our current manager.
“Kenny Dalglish got the best out of you, and was absolutely a brilliant man-management manager.”
- Henning Berg at Norwegian TV2

Alan Shearer also described Dalglish as a brilliant manager, and the perfect man to get the best out of LFCs latest additions Carroll and Suarez.

Have we ever seen a group so insecure, so out-of confidence, turn so dramatically within just a few weeks? Even frustrated Fernando Torres looked much sharper then what he did under Roy Hodgson, and also now in blue! Man-management at it’s very best!

A few so-called experts claimed Kenny Dalglish had been out of the game for too long. “Is he up-to-date with today’s football?” – 6 goals conceded in 8 games, including both Man Utd and Chelsea away tells us he’s more than up-to-date. – And remember, Dalglish didn’t take over a team in good form…

Kenny Dalglish respects the Liverpool way, and is not falling for the speculative press looking for sneaky comments about players!

Also it seems the relationship between Dalglish and Damien Comolli is good and productive – which is important, due to the massive respect the Frenchman has with the owners. I’m not too sure every manger likes to work with someone that influential. So far, so good!

We can only hope our fantastic owners will continue to listen to the fans, and give Kenny Dalglish the job is Liverpool manager permanent!

“If the fans love me, it’s only half as much as I love them.”
- Kenny Dalglish
